The main challenge was to design a new layer on top of the existing fantasy sports participation without disrupting the user flow. The immunity card needed to be easy to discover, apply, and remove, with clear availability to assist user decision-making.

  • Seamless Application: Users should be able to apply or remove the immunity card without disrupting their current actions.

Challenge 1: Easy Discovery of Immunity Cards

Solution:
Designed intuitive entry points for discovering immunity cards within the team creation and contest entry flows.
Integrated educational tooltips and a brief tutorial for first-time users to explain the concept and benefits of immunity cards.


Challenge 2: Seamless Application and Removal

Solution:
Developed a one-click application system, where users could easily apply or remove an immunity card directly from the team submission page.
Ensured the process was reversible with a simple undo action, allowing users to change their decision without friction.


Challenge 3: Availability and User Decision-Making

Solution:
Designed a clear, visual indicator of available immunity cards on the main interface, ensuring users were always aware of their options.
Included a nudge feature to remind users to apply an immunity card before finalizing their team, enhancing user engagement with the feature.
